About Dragonfly Auctions
At my core, I have a passion for auctions and a deep desire to assist others during times of transition—whether they’re facing loss or seeking growth. To me, auctions are about more than just transactions; they’re about honoring those who have passed by sharing their possessions with people around the world. It’s a meaningful process of transformation—helping families find new happiness through the sale of their cherished belongings. I experienced this personally when my family had to sell our farm in Eastview, Kentucky, to support our parents.
I will be retiring from a 30-year career in Child Welfare this fall to pursue my dream of becoming an auctioneer. Throughout my career, I’ve been encouraged by fellow auctioneers to follow this path, and I believe southern Indiana is home to some of the best auctioneers in the state—many of whom I am proud to call friends.
Why choose DragonFly Auctions? Well, after 28 years of marriage, I named my business after my wife’s favorite insect—the dragonfly. I admire the transformation that the dragonfly symbolizes, and I see it reflected in this new chapter of my life.
More than just conducting auctions, my goal is to build meaningful relationships with each client. I believe that trust, communication, and understanding are the foundation of a successful partnership. I look forward to getting to know you and your family, and to helping you navigate your auction needs with care and professionalism.

Commission & Buyer Premium Rates
All commission rates are negotiable. As I am just beginning my auction business, I believe in transparency and fairness. For casual onsite live auctions, I typically do not set buyer’s premiums, and most land and real estate auctions will not exceed 7%. Online auctions may include a buyer’s premium, which will be discussed and negotiated based on the property’s value.
